PLAYING GAMES

The other day at Avenidas, Audrey, one of the staff members conducted a program about remembering how things used to be.  At one point she told us that when her dad took her and her 6 other siblings on a long drive, they played games that included trying to remember words that began with a particular letter.  And she had us giving words beginning with the letter “A”.  It was a bit of fun, and afterwards I told her that I’d enjoyed it.  I also mentioned that I make my own greeting cards.  Audrey said she’d like to see a sample, so I, with my peculiar sense of humor, made one for her.  She loved it!

Humor -

The husband was in real trouble.  He had forgotten his wife’s birthday, and she was furious!  “By tomorrow morning,” she told him, “I want to see something in the driveway that goes from zero to 60 in less than 10 seconds!”

The next morning she looked out the window and saw a small package sitting in the driveway.  Puzzled, she rushed down to pick up the package, and tore it open to see what it was.  Turned out to be a bathroom scale.
