What was the name of the book... Something like Reading Lolita in Tehran. It was a bestseller, by an Iranian woman, a professor, who had stayed for years after the fall of the shah, describing what life was like there now.
ReplyDeleteI saw an art program that claimed that mosaics were popular and flourished because artists couldn't depict humans. Not sure, but interesting idea, although astronomer has a statue, and a face so I've got to look into that.
