SETTING THINGS RIGHT

After I had posted items about the singers we had back in Late July, and the visiting author who came in early August, one of my blog followers commented that we sure got some interesting entertainment here at our mobile home park.  Actually this was a rather unusual sequence of events that allowed us to enjoy these visitors.

I had first heard the Stardust Music singers back in May at Avenidas, the senior day care center, and I thought they were pretty good.  Usually we have only one event a month, but I discussed this with our advisory board, and they agreed that it was worth trying.  And as I mentioned previously, they were a huge success!

The visiting author was quite a different matter.  Sue is one of our book club members, and at a meeting a few months ago she mentioned that her niece Susan was about to have her first book published.  Maybe we could invite her to meet our small group.  The book club members were quite enthusiastic about the idea, and felt we could give her the entire hour.  Good idea.  Then I suggested we open it up to anyone who wanted to be there, and we moved the meeting from the little club room to the main clubhouse room.  Good thing we did.  Had a great turn-out who thoroughly enjoyed this budding author.  (That's the author Susan Vasquez on the left, and her Aunt Sue on the right.)

Customer:  Hi, good afternoon, this is Martha, I can't print. Every time I try, it says 'Can't find printer'. I've even lifted the printer and placed it in front of the monitor, but the computer still says he can't find it.

Customer:  I have problems printing in red.  Tech support:  Do you have a color printer?
        Customer:  Aaaah....................thank you.

  1. I did a doubletake. Granted, I really need to get my new glasses prescription filled, but when that first picture opened up I thought I saw Diana's sister-in-law Lynn, whom I got to meet in person nearly three years ago. Who would have been singing like that. Too funny!
