BLUE ANGELS

I was looking for something to post, and ran across these photos in a folder on my computer. I don’t even know how they got there -- I didn’t take them.

That looks like the twin towers, New York, lower right.

Over Niagara Falls?

The navy cheers 'em on!

Over San Francisco. That’s the Golden Gate Bridge down there.

Over San Francisco Bay, I believe. That looks like Alcatraz at the left, near center.

Now that IS Alcatraz. Is the plane escaping?

The photo is not upside down. You can see the ground below.

Perfect formation! It has to be.

Another precise formation.

Thought I’d drop by and say “hello”.

Magnificent show!

From the sublime to the ridiculous:

THE NEW DOCTOR

A woman went to the doctor's office, where she was seen by a young, new doctor. After about 4 minutes in the examination room, the doctor told her she was pregnant. She burst out, screaming as she ran down the hall.

An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she told him her story. After listening,, he had her sit down and relax in another room.

The doctor marched down the hallway to where the first doctor was and demanded, "What's the matter with you? Mrs. Terry is 59 years old, she has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?"

The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without looking up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?

  1. Too funny--and it's making me wonder how she is now... There was a story in the news a few years back about a woman with 16 kids, 54, whose youngest was in high school and oldest was 32, who found out she was unexpectedly pregnant. With triplets. I've always wondered how she did; she certainly had enough family to give a helping hand or two.

  2. p.s. I remember some of those Blue Angel formations overhead, years back, at the once-a-year show at Moffett. They were LOUD and my baby couldn't nap through it, and I would step outside and look at them overhead and wonder, HOW are you not crashing? Just how on earth? Wow.

  3. Amazing formations. Do they perform near San Francisco often? Every September there's an air show in nearby Portrush but I've never gone out there. Too crowded and usually very cloudy.
