AMAZING STATISTIC

Surprisingly, there are more Catholic churches in Las Vegas than there are casinos. Not surprisingly, some worshipers at Sunday services drop in casino chips rather than cash when the collection plate is passed.

Because they get chips from so many different casinos, Las Vegas churches have devised an ingenious system to convert the collections to cash. They send all their chips to a nearby Franciscan Monastery where they are sorted and then taken to the casinos of origin to be redeemed. This process is entrusted to a monastery sub-group called... the chip monks.
