THE DALAI LAMA

The following came to me from May Wong.  May used to be my occupational therapist at Avenidas until she was accepted at Harvard for a special program.  She posted this on Facebook:

Someone asked the Dalai Lama what surprises him most. This was his response: "Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; He lives as if he's never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived."

  2. I was lucky enough to see him speak several years ago, and to connect with him (longish story, involved me alone waving to him and him waving back at me with a big grin) He really is something special.
