IN THE PINK

... and other colors.

I was scootering around our park the other day with my camera, and noticed how much of the coloring is pink.  Have a look.

... and a little closer up

Nicely shaped

Beautiful!

The one in the middle must be the runt of the liter.

Now this is completely different!

  1. Actually, pampas grass on that last one, it's beautiful stuff but incredibly invasive and non native; during the annual coastal cleanups, they try to get rid of it, knowing they can at best slow its rate of invasion down. It's the kudzu of the California coast.

Ten thousand seeds per plume and they can spread 20 miles. Whoa.
