YOU GOT TROUBLES IN RIVER CITY

Well, I’m not in “River City”, but once again I’m having trouble uploading jpeg photos.  So in the meantime, a couple of odd ends:

First and foremost, if you have not yet been to the previous posting entitled HAPPENINGS, stop right now and go there.  It’s not the text that is so fascinating, but the link to youtube.  This is Bill Cosby on YOU BET YOUR LIFE, and his ‘interview’ with one woman is so funny it had me doubled over with laughter.

Okay.  Now that you've seen it,  you may agree with me that it is good to know that No’th is 90 mahls southeast of West.  Well, of course.  I wouldn’t expect it to be southwest of West!  And that’s
N O R T H C O M M A South Cahlinah.  Naturally.

Not trouble:  I was at the public library this afternoon to pick up a book I’d read about, “The Beekeeper’s Apprentice.”  The beekeeper is Sherlock Holmes in apparent retirement, and the apprentice is a 14 year old girl.  It seems that this is the first of a series, written not by A. Conan Doyle, but by Laurie R. King.  I’ll let you know more when I’ve read it.

And certainly no trouble:  Tomorrow afternoon Cliff and I are attending Foothill Musical Theater.  Again, will let you know all about it.

And for a bit of humor --

  1. You know, here in the western wastelands, I do miss me a good bit of Southern accent.
