BEAUTIFUL ROADS

Whether you call these beautiful, or strange, different or weird, they are
certainly intriguing.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE OLD

My granddaughter asked me what it was like to be old.  So I told her, “Put cotton in your ears, and pebbles in your shoes.  Pull on rubber gloves, and smear Vaseline over your glasses.  There you have it:  Instant Old Age.

SPELLING

Little Johnny was asked by his teacher to spell ‘straight’.  He did so without error.  “Very good,” said the teacher, “Now what does it mean?”  “Without water.”

  2. That second one: Virginia, in the Blue Ridge mountains near my friend Steve's family's farm/vacation spot. I so remember the roller coaster road, and if that isn't it, it looked exactly like it in the early Fall. I bet my parents could tell you the route number still, and wow, does that bring back memories--including the one of the box that suddenly appeared in the road as we came over one of those ridges and then caught fire under the wheels of the car. We all came out of it okay, though (and my Dad is a hero!)
