Some Hawaiian photos

I don't know how things got turned around, but the Saturday post is labeled THURSDAY. Go down to the next post to pick it up. Thanks.

Several weeks ago I posted some photos of Amalie and me on board the ship to Hawaii. Today let's have a brief look at some of our best pics in the islands.

This shot of the sun coming through the clouds is fairly typical of the islands. At this point we are not quite there yet.

Ah,we are approaching the Hilo side of the Big Island, Hawaii. That waterfall is only one of many in the islands, but one of our better shots.

Now we are on the Kona side, and that is the crater of one of the two volcanoes.

Have a look at Kona harbor. This is one of the two ports where our ship could not dock because the ship is too big.

We did take a tour, and this is a church spire in Kona.

On to Oahu.
This is a statue of King Kamehameha in downtown Honolulu.

This is a clock tower in Honolulu. I don't know who is in the wheelchair in the foreground, but that is I in the scooter a bit further back. That means that Am took the picture.

Now we are off the coast of Kauai. That is a lighthouse in the center of the picture.

We will continue on Kauai in tomorrow's post.

A bit of humor:

Why didn't the skeleton go to the party?
He had no body to go with!
