A DAY AT THE CONCERT

Yesterday Cliff and I attended the final concert of the season in Los Gatos. The entertainers called themselves Prima Trio, featuring a violinist, a pianist, and a clarinetist. I had never heard their selections before, but they were quite varied. What made this concert rather unusual was the variety of global locations that these musicians and the composers of melodies comprised.

For example, Gulia, the violinist was born in Uzbekistan. Boris, the clarinetist, was born in Baku, Azerbaijan.
And Anastasia, the pianist, was born in Russia. (She's the one not holding an instrument.)  The composers of the selections they played came from various parts of the world: Germany, Argentina, Israel, Armenia, and the United States. So you can imagine the variety of music that we enjoyed.

PROVERBS AND CHILDREN, concluded

The first grade school teacher presented each child with the first half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. While reading, keep in mind that these are first graders, 6-year-olds.

Two's company, three's .... the Musketeers

Don't put off till tomorrow what .... you put on to go to bed

Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and...... you have to blow your nose

There are none so blind as .... Stevie Wonder

Children should be seen and not .... spanked or grounded

If at first you don't succeed .... get new batteries

You get out of something only what you ... see in the picture on the box

When the blind lead the blind .... get out of the way

Better late than..... pregnant
