TRAILS, Part 2

Some of these are most unusual.  Does anyone recognize any?  I don’t.

Humor --

The Usher

An elderly woman walked into the local country church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps.
"Where would you like to sit?" he asked politely.
"The front row, please," she answered.
"You really don't want to do that," the usher said. "The pastor is really boring."
"Do you happen to know who I am?" the woman inquired.
"No," he said.
"I'm the pastor's mother," she replied indignantly.
"Do you know who I am?" he asked.
"No," she said.
"Good," he answered.

  1. The ones I'd be willing to experience in person (not that I will) are the 4th, although I'd probably get car sick, and the bluebells/grape hyacinths, though I wouldn't want to trample them. The first I mention looks like it could be Pennsylvania and the second I mention could be England. The others are very unlike any place I've ever been.

  2. I remember seeing a picture of the Yukon Highway in Canada, I think it was, where they had to carve a snow canyon to get the highway moving again--I think that's what your top picture is. The fourth one looks very much like one we used to drive on about once a year, when I was growing up, in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia. The roller coaster road, we called it.

There's quite the story to that. Remind me to tell you sometime.
