ASTOUNDING

As I noted last week, I fell and hurt myself.  Cliff took me to the urgent care facility just down the street where they took x-rays.  But they couldn’t decide whether or not there was a break.

I said to Cliff that somehow it didn't feel like a break. (As if I knew what I was talking about.)  Then the clinic called for me to make an appointment with the orthopedic clinic for yesterday - Monday, 3:30 p.m., but come in at 3 to complete the check-in.

Since it’s just down the street, and the weather was lovely, I scootered down there.  Arrived about 2:55, and about 90 seconds later I was checked in.  Why the half hour?  But what was astounding was they took me 15 minutes early, and I was all done 20 minutes later.

But what were the results?  Glad you asked.  Yes, there is a small break at the site of a previous break.  A small one, and the only thing to do is let it heal.  I go back in 2 weeks just so they can see how I’m doing.  Could be worse.
