A woman wrote into Click and Clack, saying that she and her husband were on vacation in California, and had rented a Prius to visit Yosemite National Park. She was concerned that there seemed to be no way to downshift while navigating the steep, winding roads, and that she didn’t want to use the Fred Flintstone braking method. Why not? It would ruin her shoes!
Fortunately, she was told that auto has built-in methods to gear down.

ReplyDeleteI have a bag of pine nuts in my kitchen cupboard (Thank you Tesco). I only ever seen pine cones brown and on the path. I'd love to see them green. Maybe I should look harder.
