After all that, do you really want a bit of humor?
Rudolph Kavnikoff is a member of the Communist Party in Russia, and he is known for his obstinancy,
especially when he thinks he is right, which is most of the time. One evening he comes home from work and tells his wife that it is raining outside.
"No, dear," she says, "it's snowing."
"I said it's raining!"
"Snowing."
"Raining!"
"Snowing"
"Look, wife," he says, "Rudolph, the Red, knows rain, dear!"
Reminds me of when my brother was in a religion class at BYU and the prof, who tended to mangle his words, asked the class if they understood the phrase "the condensation (he meant condescension) of God."
ReplyDeleteWhereupon my older brother promptly raised his hand and answered, "It means He rains forever!"
(See, it's not just me, it's most of my family I grew up in.)
absolutely inspirational story - thanks for sharing!
