* * *
Yesterday I was invited back to Avenidas for a whole day visit to see how I liked. I'd have to say that for me the results were mixed. I was hoping for more interaction with other patrons, but there was little of that. Also, since they will not allow me to use my scooter, I had to wait for someone to push me in my wheelchair. I found that a bit confining.On the other hand, the staff is superb -- capable and friendly. And they served me a very nice lunch. Seems that I was at the "rhyming" table. To my left was Tom, then me - Don, and to my right sat Ron. We would have been complete if the last seat belonged to John, but James took that chair.
Activities start at 10 a.m. and my choice was sewing or current events. Since I'm not a sew and sew, I chose current events.
Fun:
Somebody has my number --
I called your house the other day and was told you were down at your favorite biker bar with some friends. I wasn't sure where that was, but was told I wouldn't have much trouble finding it.
Sure enough, I drove just a couple blocks and there it was...

So, will your 81st trip around the sun include more visits to Avenidas?
